October Birchbox!

Hello ladies!

So I received my October Birchbox arrived this week.  A few weeks ago they e-mailed me and asked me if I wanted to get the Goop Birchbox or the regular.  I decided to go with the Goop, because if I recall, when they offered the Teen Vogue box, it was amazing! (I didn't get that one because it was my very first month)  Unfortunately, this box was pretty far from amazing.  I do think this is my least favorite box since I joined in March. But anyway, here is what came in the box!
First item in the box....a nail polish! Not only a nail polish, but an Essie polish, my favorite brand.  This is the one thing that I was pretty excited about.  The color looks really cool in the bottle.  Kind of a grey/blue metallic color.  I did paint it on my nails, it was a little difficult to work with and the color didn't look quite as good on the nail as it does in the bottle. The great thing, is that this is a full size nail polish and not a mini.
Between the cheeky names and the on-trend hues, Essie can do no wrong.  You can wear this classic shade all season.  Full-size, $8.
(Sample worth $8.00)

Next up is Joanna Vargas Daily Serum.  I haven't tried this out, but am interested to.  I do have a night serum that I use occasionally, but I will definitely try it out. It is a bit small at only 5ml, and the full size retails for $85, which is not something I can afford or would want to spend on something.
Celebrity facialist Joanna Vargas packs her signature brightening serum with vitamins A, E, and C, plus hyaluronic acid.  You'll glow, we promise.  Full size, $85 for 1.8oz/295ml.
(Sample worth $1.44)

Next up is the Marie Veronique Organics Body Oil.  This I thought was quite interesting.  I have never used a body oil or have every really heard of using a body oil.  I think I will try this out a night before bed, so I don't have any oily residue on me or my clothes during the day.
A Delicious smelling trio of watermelon seed, vegetable squalene, and apricot kernel oils replenishes skin on neck, hands, and all over your body. Full-size, $36 for 2 oz.
(Sample worth ?? Unfortunately there was no indication of size on this bottle, So I guessed that this bottle is around .25 oz, and that would be worth $4.50)

Next up, Sprout Lip Balm Flights.  This was another thing that was kind of cool to get.  I always get really dry and chapped lips during the colder months.  I love that this is organic and made with cocoa.  It doesn't smell the greatest, it almost smells like cocoa butter lotion, but not quite.  It says it is made simply with only: organic cocoa butter, organic beeswax, organic coconut oil. It feels very smooth and soft on the lips.
Mace in the heart of Brooklyn, these yummy balms are made with organic coconut butter to nourish dry lips.  4 lip balms, $18.
(Sample size worth $4.50)

Lastly is a lifestyle extra and it is a Luna bar in Lemon Zest.  I actually do like Luna bars but have never tried out the lemon zest flavor.  This will be good to try, especially before a workout.
These zesty snacks are a goop fave.  They're perfect for keeping you full in between meals (plus they can double as a healthy dessert!). Pack of 15, $18.75.
(Sample worth $1.25)

Total Box worth $19.69

So there it is! It wasn't the greatest box I have gotten, but I love Birchbox so much and will most definitely continue to subscribe. If you are interested in trying Birchbox out, Click here!

Until next time!

XOXO
Kristen
