Fall Makeup Haul

Hello there!

I have recently done a little bit of shopping (not too much) at a few different places and I thought I would gather them up and do a haul post for you all.  These are all from the past 2 weeks.  I have picked up some things at Rite-Aid, my local grocery store, Aveda and Ulta.

Lets dive in and see what I bought...
Rite-Aid | Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Elusive

When I heard about the new collection of Revlon Balm Stains in the Lacquer and Matte finishes, I had to run out and find them.  I only picked up one in the matte finish (I prefer matte over glossy) and I really like the formula and the way it applies.  While I do like the color, I wanted to find one that was a bit more wearable for every day and this is a little bright to wear to work for me at my new job.  I definitely want to pick up at least one more, maybe in a red and possibly try out the lacquer finish as well.

Local Grocery Store | Rimmel Match Perfection 2 in 1 concealer in Light.

I have been wanting to branch out and try some different concealers and while I was at my local grocery store one day, I decided to pick this up.  It was fairly inexpensive and I don't really have many things from Rimmel even though I always hear great things about them.  Now, I don't really know if this is from the concealer or something else totally, but shortly after I started to use this, I started to break out all around my nose and I have one spot around my lips.  I am not someone who has or has every had bad acne or acne prone skin.  I get my occasional spot here and there, but whoa, I had like 4 around my nose and I still currently have the one around my lips.  I haven't used this for a few days, just in case this was the cause, and all of the ones around my nose have pretty much cleared up.  I will be pretty disappointed if this was the cause, because I was quite enjoying it.  I liked the coverage and the application.

Local Grocery Store |  Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in 160 Fresh Beige

While grocery shopping, my grocery store was have 40% off all Revlon products and I also had a coupon for $3 off any foundation, so I just couldn't pass up getting the foundation that I have been loving for under $3 when it is normally $8.99.  I have been using this foundation since the beginning of summer and I really like the light/medium coverage and how natural it feels.  This color matches me so perfect.

Aveda | Volumizing Tonic and Phomollient Styling Foam

I went into the Aveda Institute to get my bangs trimmed last weekend and decided to pick up a couple minis of some products that I wanted.  I have used the Volumizing Tonic before and really liked it.  You spray it at your roots when your hair is damp and then style and it gives your roots a bit of a lift.

They always use the Phomollient styling foam on my hair when I get it cut so I decided to try it out at home.  It is just a shine and volumizing foam.  I have only used this twice so I can't really give a full on review if I like it or not.

Ulta | Big Sexy Hair Spray & Play Volumizing Hairspray

My husband decided to have band practice at our house on Sunday, so I needed to get out of the house for a couple hours.  I was looking at the new Ulta add and saw that the limited edition can was on sale for $7.99.  I have been wanting to get a full-size of this hairspray ever since it came in one of my subscription services but couldn't justify spending $18 on a hairspray, so I just stuck to the cheaper Tresemme. I am so glad that I got to pick this up, this hairspray is so great if your hair does not want to hold its style.  It gives a lot of volume and holds a curl, or whatever kind of hair you are rocking that day.  Pick up a mini of this if you haven't tried it out before.

Ulta | Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol. IV Redux

While looking through the Ulta add, I saw on the very last page that this bad boy was on sale for only $32!!!! You get 16 shadows, a full-size waterproof 24/7 liquid eye liner in Perversion, a mini Supercurl Mascara, a mini Primer Potion and a speaker to play music from your phone.  I could not pass this deal up.  I love Urban Decay shadows and the primer potion.  I have never tried the liquid liner or their mascara.  On top of it only being 50% off at $32, I also had a 20% off coupon that I could actually use on this!

I don't want to delve too much into this though because I don't think it is available on their website anymore and I am not sure about in stores.  If you want me to do a full review on it, I will. You can still buy the items separately and a few of the shadows are in the Naked and Naked 2 palettes. So far, I have definitely been loving this for the past week.

Those are all of the goodies that I have picked up recently.  I am really hopeful that some of these will make into this months favorites post, so keep an eye out for that.

I will do a review on the Urban Decay palette if you are interested in seeing how I feel about each shadow, the liner and the mascara.

What have you picked up recently?

XOXO
Kristen
