Hello there!
So....I've been doing some shopping lately. I don't know about you, but whenever I start watching YouTube videos of other people hauling makeup and other items, it makes me want to shop. That and I had some really great coupons and there were some good deals as well to go along with my coupons, and it was my birthday last week.
Those are all good excuses right?
Most recently I went to CVS and picked up three Revlon items. They were all buy one get one 1/2 off (except the nail polish). I went because I had $6 in extra bucks (basically store credit), I had a $2 off coupon for any foundation, bb cream, or blush, I had a $3 off coupon for any lip or eye product AND they were having such a good deal on their nail polishes (which is still going on until saturday!) where they are all marked down to $4.99 and when you buy one you automatically get $3 in Extrabucks (you have to have a CVS card to get them, the card is free). I could not pass up these deals!
So I ended up getting the Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder in 020 Light (medium looked a bit too dark). I have only just used this today, but it was super smooth and didn't make my face look cakey at all. I used it over top of the Revlon Nearly Naked Liquid Foundation which I just love. I wanted to pick this up because I don't normally wear a powder over my foundation, but I thought I would try one out and see if it makes a difference in lasting power and to see if it would control oil when it is super hot and humid out (which it has been).
I also picked up one of their new Super Lustrious lip glosses in Pango Peach. I have had my eye on this color for a couple weeks now and decided to grab it while I had that $3 off coupon. I love this line of lip glosses, they are super smooth and creamy and not sticky. This one is a pretty peach color with some shimmer in it.

So over all, these three items should have cost me $27.84, but I only paid $9.27! I saved $18.57! If I might say, I am pretty darn proud of my self for working the sales and coupons to my advantage!
I also hunted down a Walgreens last week because I had heard that they were the only drugstore carrying the Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquers. And wouldn't you know it, I found them! I decided to pick up three colors because they were only $4.99! I was honestly expecting them to be around $8 or $9, because that seems to be the going price now for lip products. These are extremely pigmented and super creamy. Pretty much what you would expect from a liquid lipstick. I would definitely like to pick up the red shade. I picked up the shades Nova, Luna and Celestial. I really like both of the pinks, I don't love the peachy color, it comes off as a weird shade of orange on my lips. Celestial is a really nice every day light mauve-y pink and Nova is a nice bright medium pink.

I went into Sephora the other weekend to grab a couple small items. I picked up the Golden Opportunity Tarte-To-Go kit. I'm pretty sure this kit is new and I have been going back and forth with myself on whether or not I want to buy the full-size of the Tarte Park Avenue Princess bronzer or the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer and when I saw this mini kit for only $10, I grabbed it. It comes with a mini Amazonian Clay Bronzer in Park Avenue Princess and a mini Brazilliance Skin Rejuvenating Maracuja Self Tanner which I am very interested in trying out. I love this bronzer, it is so smooth and silky and is a great shade.
I also picked up another mini Soap & Glory Hand Food for my purse, but I forgot to include that in my photo. And when I was checking out, since it was almost my birthday, they gave me my free VIB birthday gift which was a little Benefit kit that had a mini They're Real mascara and a mini Watts Up highlighter. So cute, I have been loving the highlighter. I need to try the mascara again (I have another mini sample of it in my stash) because so many people rave about it and I think I tried it once and kind of tossed it aside.

And the last item I picked up I bought for myself for my birthday. I had been eyeing the Too Faced Loves Sephora 15 Years of Beauty palette for a few weeks, so I bought it for myself as a birthday present. I really love the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer and that was a big reason why I wanted this palette. I prefer to buy makeup in kits or pallets because you seem to get more for your money and its almost always a better deal.
This palette comes with the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer, Sun Bunny Bronzer and blush in Who's Your Poppy?. It also comes with 10 shadows in Piano Keys, So Cal, TF Loves the Cast, Jer Jer, 525 Market, Behind the Counter, Soho, Envy, David & Marg, and 1998. The palette also includes the flatbuki brush and a mini Shadow Insurance.
I have been loving this palette especially for the bronzers and the blush. I have only used the shadows a few times, but so far I really like them. I cannot wait to create more looks with this palette.

What have you bought recently?
